Kanmani

Kanmani never gave up on her dream to complete her studies.

It was with tear-filled eyes that Kanmani related her experience of not being able to continue with her graduation as she couldn’t afford the fee. Supported by her mother, a single parent, she was married at the very young age of 17. The years passed and she became a mother, one who still wanted to study, which proved very difficult but she never gave up and looked for other ways to pursue her education. She obtained a seat in the sports quota but discovered she could not afford the course fee. The educational institution declined Kanmani’s request for a fee concession, and she was on the verge of having to discontinue her studies. Nia’s support enabled her to follow her choice of course, and Kanmani will now graduate this year!
