Nia Inspire is a scholarship initiative by Nia that enables individuals, families, and institutions to create meaningful educational support for girls. The program transforms admiration, remembrance, gratitude, and shared values into real opportunity by sponsoring a girl’s education. At its heart, Nia Inspire creates pathways for girls to pursue an education of their choice and build independent, dignified futures.
Sumathi Radhakrishnan Memorial Award
Our First Scholarship
The first scholarship under Nia Inspire is the Sumathi Radhakrishnan Memorial Award, instituted by Shobana Radhakrishnan in honour of her mother, Ms. Sumathi Radhakrishnan. The award reflects the values Ms. Sumathi Radhakrishnan stood for – kindness, equality, generosity, and a deep belief in the importance of education, especially for girls.
Why Nia Inspire
Many girls continue to face financial, social, and cultural barriers that limit their access to education. Yet education remains one of the strongest foundations for confidence, independence, and long-term opportunity. Nia Inspire was created to bridge that gap by connecting individuals and institutions who want to make a difference with girls whose aspirations deserve support.
What Nia Inspire does
Through Nia Inspire, scholarships can be instituted under Nia, in memory of a loved one, in honour of shared values, or in support of girls’ education. Each scholarship can carry its own name and story while contributing to Nia’s broader mission of empowering girls through education and choice.
How it works
Nia Inspire invites sponsors to institute a scholarship through Nia in memory of a loved one, in honour of someone’s values, or in support of a cause they believe in. In this way, a personal legacy becomes a living investment in a girl’s future.
